This is a sequel to my "Tips of" arcade machine videos... this time I examine Stacker and offer tips about the game, and give an explanation of how the game really works. How to win at stacker- or how to not win.
This is the popular arcade game by LAI, Stacker, which gives people the chance to win big big prizes such as Playstation 3s, Xbox 360s, Apple iPods etc. The chance to win is relatively low at times due to people not knowing the right way to play but once you understand how to make it to the top level, it simply leaves it up to chance of the machine whether or not to pay out. These are just some tips on how to get there. Trust me, i'm in a suit.
If you've played this game at an arcade or movie theatre, you know what it is. The blocks go back and forth, and you stop them to stack them ontop of each other. The machine has awesome prizes like ipods, nintendo DS's, and sometimes even xboxes and wiis! __________________ '09 edit I rather like this video, so for people who read this description, here's some responses to common complaints in the comments. -Yes, my cell phone camera did have crappy frame rate and crappy quality. HOWEVER, the information was all still correct, and it would have been a great coincidence if the one frame it missed was the one where it was over the middle. -I never once said it was impossible to win. I actually one it once myself a few years ago. I got an ipod shuffle which didn't come out correctly, so i had to get a worker with a key to open it... Anyway it is possible, just rare. -Watch the actual video before being an asshat and posting your two stupid cents.
Steve plays Stackers for the first time and gets hooked. It turns out Steve is pretty good at it, but what's really fun is seeing him fail. BTW one of the prizes is the iPod Nano, which he intended to give to someone as a christmas gift if he wins. Awwww... Oh and if you're wondering what happens a minute into the video... basically a kid came running around the corner and started banging on the buttons in the middle of Steve's game and resulted in a loss. Then another kid started pushing buttons a few seconds later... boohoo.
QOTV: What's your favorite arcade game? Have you ever won at stacker!? ...cuz I haven't. QOTV = question of the video. This is a video of me, Tasselfoot, beating the 2nd installment of Super Stacker. This game improves heavily over the 1st one. There are now 40 levels (broken down into 4 difficulties) instead of 12. You can jump to individual levels, and you can now unlock a random mode if you beat the game. Oh, did I mention there is now an editor? The levels are much more polished than the first one. Much more creative and fun. And definitely harder. A few of them made me think, "hmm... what do I need to do here?" Then there was that, "aha!" moment of victory and triumph that marks the sign of a well created level. So, as always, my props out to Gaz, who is a big supporter of my YT channel here. You keep making them, I'll keep walkthroughing them. Video is on 2x speed.
