Tottenham 3-1 Bolton - Bale goal & Official FA Cup Sixth Round highlights | FATV To find out more about the The FA Cup visit: thefa.com The FA Cup on Facebook www.facebook.com Follow us on Twitter twitter.com Second-half goals from Ryan Nelsen, Gareth Bale and Louis Saha sent Tottenham into the semi-final of the FA Cup, where they will face Chelsea. Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan was in fine form denying the hosts several times, before Nelsen headed the opener. Shortly after, Bale doubled their lead finishing off a fine Spurs break before Kevin Davies gave the visitors hope after converting Ivan Klasnic's cross. But Saha sealed the win in injury time with a turn and shot from 20 yards. The rearranged game marked an emotional return to White Hart Lane for Bolton's players after the original fixture was abandoned when midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed , suffering a cardiac arrest during the first half. Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp admitted that sentiment would go out of the window when the game kicked off, and his side were true to their word in a one-sided first half. They ended the half with 11 attempts on goal, eight of which were on target, while Bolton failed to muster a single chance. But despite their dominance the game remained goalless at the break, thanks largely to Bolton keeper Bogdan - who was in superb form. He was called into action on numerous occasions, with his low full-stretch save from Scott Parker's close-range effort the pick of the bunch ...
Our thoughts and prayers are with Fabrice Muamba and his family. YNWA Fabrice. Affected by a suspected heart problem after 40 minutes in the game. Doctors trying to resuscitate him. The match was rightly abandoned shortly afterward. He is now in a 'stable' condition in hospital. Praise to all the emergency services for the swiftness of their actions!
Fabrice Muamba said he was delighted to be back at Bolton after arriving to watch their crucial meeting with Tottenham at the Reebok Stadium. Muamba, 24, suffered a cardiac arrest during Bolton's FA Cup tie at Spurs on 17 March and he was released from hospital on 16 April. "I'm happy I'm here," he said. "It's a special place - anyone who has played for this club will knows that. "I'm glad I came today, I really wanted to come and support the boys."
Bolton put their relegation worries to one side as goals from Ryo Miyaichi and David Ngog secured an FA Cup quarter-final place at Millwall's expense. Arsenal loanee Miyaichi showed why Gunners manager Arsene Wenger rates him so highly when he curled the ball into the corner in the fourth minute. Just before the hour, Ngog's left-footed shot was too strong for Steve Mildenhall as Bolton went 2-0 up. Adam Bogdan then made a double save to thwart Harry Kane and Darius Henderson. Japanese forward Miyaichi, who only turned 19 in December, joined Bolton in the January transfer window and manager Owen Coyle will no doubt be hoping he will have the same galvanising effect that Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere had on the Trotters when he arrived on loan in 2010. The teenager latched on to Sam Ricketts' quick free-kick and after holding off Alan Dunne's challenge finished with superb composure. Fabrice Muamba and Ngog also had good first-half chances, while Millwall failed to test Bolton goalkeeper Bogdan despite the ample possession they enjoyed. The closest the Lions came to an equaliser before the break was when the Trotters' Iceland international Gretar Steinsson sliced his attempted clearance from Liam Feeney's cross over his own crossbar. Just after the interval Paul Robinson met Scott Barron's 49th-minute corner with a header but did not make sufficient contact and the ball sailed wide. It was then Robinson's poor clearance at the other end that led to Ngog's goal, the ...
During a taping of the Stossel show at the 2012 International Students for Liberty Conference in Washington DC, I got to confront neo-conservative war monger John Bolton on the issue of blowback, and it miraculously made it's way onto the Stossel show! I'm guessing we have the man himself, John Stossel, to thank for that. Of course, this is Fox we're talking about, so there is some disingenuous editing. But the content of my question and Bolton's response is completely intact! Thank you Stossel! Check out my blog if you want to see more from me: buck-the-system.blogspot.com UPDATE 2/27/2012: Stossel released an unedited clip from one of the camera angles from the filming. Doesn't really show any booing after Bolton's response, but he DEFINITELY doesn't get applause. Those come after I begin to try rebutting his statement, but our conversation ends. Still fishy editing, or am I and everyone else who was there just getting caught up in the moment and the whole thing is a misunderstanding? I don't know. A video and explanation for the edit can be found at the below link, and the explanation is at least plausible. I'll let you guys decide. www.foxbusiness.com
