Whether you want to reminisce about your time there or be reassured about a future stay on Okinawa, this video is great to see if you want to get a feel of the island. Of the many locations featured, sites include Mihama, Araha Beach, White Beach, Torii Beach, Kokusai Street, the Chinese Gardens, Kubasaki, Yomitan, and Shuri Castle. For those of you concerned with Japanese reactions to this: rest assured they LOVED it. When we were filming they were all laughing, smiling, and waving. Many stopped to film us filming and asked us for pictures. We love Okinawa and her people; this is an expression of our attachment. For those who are wondering how we filmed an empty Mihama....we showed up at 0700 on a Saturday and only had a few awesome people laughing at us. At both intersections we ran into the street on red lights and got off in time to not obstruct traffic. =) I do not own the song "Party in the USA" and no copyright infringement is intended. We couldn't record as much as we wanted to of the outdoors and scenery due to the constant rain, and the stuff that we chose to do in lieu of beaching was often really boring, or too personal for Youtube stuff (visiting friends, etc). It was really hard to string it all together and I'm sorry if that comes through in the finished product. Okinawa was nice, it's completely different from life in Kyushu, and it was a good relaxing getaway from the stuff both Ryuhei and I have going on here in Fukuoka.
